This webquest is designed to introduce you to the key ideas found in Perek 16 in Vayikra. This perek describes the avodah that was performed by the Kohen Gadol in the Bais HaMikdash on Yom Kippur. The avodah was the most significant component of the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. Through its successful completion, the Kohen Gadol achieved atonement for the entire Jewish nation.

As Yom Kippur approaches, this webquest will also allow for greater appreciation of the avodah as it is described in the machzor that we read on Yom Kippur during Mussaf.
