Now that we have completed our course study in Jewish History, it is important that we take some time to review many of the key aspects that we have learnt. Due to significant time constraints, we will center our review on the city of Yerushalayim.

    Yerushalayim, as you know, has been at the center of practically every era of Jewish history. The city has witnessed alternate stages of growth and destruction. World powers have vied for its control. Religious movements have been given expression within its environs. It is with this in mind that we will trace the city’s development from the time of King Herod until today.

    On this project we will give specific focus on the religious development of the city. We will collectively look at four periods in Yerushalayim’s history, as listed on the task page.
