By now we have explored many important aspects of Herod's building projects. We better understand the function of each building, the period of time in which they built, and how they impacted both Herod himself and his entire kingdom, Jewish or pagan. We also have a deeper appreciation for the architectural genius that went into each project, and the necessary time and effort to bring each undertaking to fruition.
