The Bill of Rights are the first ten additions to the Constitution. This is the Bill of Rights:

 

1. Freedom of religion, Speech, Press and Assembly. This means that there can be a gathering anywhere. You can print whatever you want, for example, articles in newspapers, you can be whatever religion you want, and you can say whatever you want.

2. You can keep your own weapon at your house.

3. You can refuse to allow soldiers to stay in your house if there is no war.

4. People can not search your house unless they have a search warrant.

5. There has to be at least 12 jury members to accuse someone.

6. The rights of an accused person: they have the right to a fast and fair trial.

7. A person has the right to have a trial with a jury.

8. A person can't be given too strong a punishment or too high a fine.

9. You can't use certain rights to deny other rights.

10. There are powers reserved for the states and powers reserved for the people.

Did You Know??? Up to 1992, there were 17 new amendments added after the Bill of Rights.
