The one event that has had the greatest impact on creating the era of, Modern Jewish History was the Haskalah Movement. As is the case with any historical event, nothing happens in a vacuum. There are internal as well as external factors that create and cause change.

This WebQuest will help us analyze the time period leading up to the Haskalah Movement, and better understand the problems that confronted the Jewish People at that time in their shtetl.  

We will also explore the decisions that individual Jews made at that time that continue to impact us today.
