Danny and Elizabeth are Pilgrim children living in Plymouth colony in the fall of 1621. While they were helping clean up after dinner one night, they overhear their parents talking excitedly about plans for a feast with their friends, the Wampanoags. Your parents mention the names Joachim Gaunse and Elias Legardo. Elizabeth looks at Danny and whispers, "Who are they?" |

The next night, Danny and Elizabeth listened even more closely as their parents discussed the feast plans. They were very excited about the plans, but were puzzled to hear a word they had never heard before... a Jewish holiday! What does a Jewish holiday have to do with their life here in Plymouth?
